Topeka, Kan. - Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton today endorsed Pat Roberts for re-election to the Senate. Bolton issued the following statement:

It’s my honor to support Senator Pat Roberts for re-election. As a result of President Obama’s failed leadership, our country faces many threats at home and abroad. Pat Roberts is a strong voice in the U.S. Senate for our nation’s security. He takes on the tough fights like holding the Obama Administration accountable for the murder of four Americans in Benghazi. He stopped GITMO terrorists from coming to Kansas once before, and he will stop them again. As a Marine, Pat Roberts understands the importance of standing up for the men and women in uniform who serve our country.

"Pat’s challenger, Greg Orman, has no national security or military experience of any kind. He’s a rubber stamp for the Obama-Reid agenda that has cost this country dearly. Kansas and our country cannot afford to lose Pat Roberts’ commitment and experience in the fight to protect America. I hope that every Kansan who cares about the future of the nation goes to vote for Pat Roberts."

Bolton served as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations from August 2005 to December 2006. From 2001 to 2005, he was under secretary of state for arms control and international security.
