Topeka, Kan. – The Roberts for Senate campaign today announced that Governor Mitt Romney has endorsed Pat Roberts for U.S. Senate. Governor Romney will appear in Overland Park with Senator Roberts for a rally with supporters on Monday, October 27 th.

Governor Romney released the following statement in advance of his visit to Kansas to campaign with Senator Roberts:

“Pat Roberts is a conservative champion for Kansas, and we need him in the Senate. But take it from me, this election is about a lot more than Pat Roberts.  This is about Republicans taking control of the Senate and stopping the Obama-Reid agenda that is destroying this country. With a Republican Senate, we can stop Obamacare, lower taxes, and get our country back on the right track. That is what Pat can do for Kansas and the country. Greg Orman, on the other hand, would be just another vote for Barack Obama."

“America can’t afford two more years of Barack Obama and Harry Reid’s failed leadership. We must stop the liberal Obama-Harry Reid agenda, and we can’t do that without Pat Roberts in the U.S. Senate. The country is counting on Kansas to get it right this November, to send Pat Roberts back to the Senate, and stop Barack Obama and Harry Reid.”
