“We have a busy week in Kanas planned right through the Fourth of July and I look forward to seeing and visiting with old friends and fellow Republicans. We’ll kick off the week with two campaign events Monday—a grassroots meet and greet in Wichita and a Butler County GOP meeting in Augusta. Then we will be in Topeka and Lawrence for a series of meetings, work visits and more grassroots campaigning.

“But what’s the 4th without parades? I will be proudly waving the American flag Friday in the annual Lenexa parade and again in the Wamego parade. Both of these are big annual events and a great way to show our appreciation for America and our Constitutional heritage. Hope to see you there.

“I also will be back in Western Kanas at the Hays Wild West Festival Parade Saturday, July 5, to ride with my fellow U.S. Marines on the Marine Corps League float. You will see us standing straight and proud. This is a big event. Don’t miss it if you are in the Hays area.

“Stay tuned for more, including some lively media interviews and other events. And don’t be surprised over the next month if you pick up the phone and hear me on the other end or open your door and find me on the other side of the screen. My campaign team is walking, knocking and talking all over the state.

“Have a safe and fun Fourth.”
