TOPEKA, Kan. – The Roberts for Senate campaign today called on dishonest politician Greg Orman to unseal his grand jury testimony in the case of jailed Wall Street criminal Rajat Gupta.

When first asked about his relationship with Rajat Gupta, Orman told the Topeka Capital-Journal that Gupta was a friend with whom he had a “very small” and “modest” investment. Reports later revealed that Mr. Orman was Gupta’s personal financial advisor and Gupta handpicked Orman to take his place on a billion-dollar private equity fund in the Cayman Islands, which was established soley to avoid paying U.S. taxes. What’s more, U.S. Attorneys subpoenaed all communications between Gupta and Orman over a four-year period, and listed Orman as one of the most important sources of information for their case, even ahead of Mr. Gupta’s wife.

"Each day we learn more about the dishonest nature of Greg Orman, especially when it comes to his dealings with jailed Wall Street criminal Rajat Gupta," Roberts for Senate campaign manager Corry Bliss said. "Questions surround Mr. Orman and his involvement in Gupta's trial where a U.S. Attorney questioned Mr. Orman's credibility. We call on Mr. Orman to end the speculation once and for all by unsealing his grand jury testimony from Gupta's criminal case. Now more than ever, it is time for Mr. Orman stop hiding from his past and start being honest with Kansas voters. We call on Mr. Orman to unseal his grand jury testimony today."
