Conservatives in all 105 Kansas Counties Back Roberts
Topeka, KS – The Pat Roberts for Senate campaign today announced it raised more than $600,000 in the fourth quarter of 2013, giving the campaign a balance of $2.25 million cash on hand.
The campaign’s latest Federal Election Commission report shows $615,911 raised betweenOctober 1 and the end of December.
Roberts for Senate ended the year with $2,247,815 cash-on-hand.
The figures show that the Roberts campaign is in a strong position heading into the 2014 August primary election.
Senator Roberts said he was pleased with the campaign’s successful fundraising effort.
“The confidence shown in my campaign is gratifying,” the Senator said. “Our support is wide and deep, with contributions from all 105 counties of the state. That sends the strongest signal possible that we are on the right track with our conservative approach and our hard work for Kansas. The message I take to Washington from Kansans is simple: cut spending, stop taxing and get the government out of our daily lives, out of our pocketbooks and out of our health care.”
The year-end cash on hand figure is more evidence that Republicans across the board agree Senator Roberts is the only tough, tested and trusted conservative in the primary race.
Recent polling for the campaign had Roberts with a 78 percent approval rating. His approval is even higher at 86 percent with tea party supporters and very conservative voters.
Senator Roberts has strong grassroots support, including endorsements from every corner of the state. He is endorsed for re-election by 31 state senators, 79 state representatives, the entire congressional delegation and all statewide GOP officials on the ballot this year. Additionally, he has support from the Kansas State Rifle Association, the Kansas Farm Bureau, the Kansas Black Republican Council and other groups.
