Jim Martin, Chairman of the 60 Plus Association, announced the endorsement saying, “Pat Roberts not only has an exemplary record in Washington of fighting for liberty and defending the principles that made this country great, but he is the only Senate candidate in Kansas who has earned the unfailing trust of America’s seniors.”
Martin continued saying, “Whenever a challenge has confronted America’s seniors, Senator Roberts has always answered the bell. With our nation currently mired in a crisis of leadership and trust, Senator Roberts’ honesty, integrity, and selfless leadership are desperately needed in Washington.”
“Pat Roberts’ opposition to Obamacare and Secretary Sebelius was so pronounced that she quit the cabinet soon after he demanded she resign. That shows just how effective and influential Pat Roberts is for the people of Kansas.
“Seniors know that Pat Roberts will continue to be our unwavering voice in the U.S. Senate, fighting to repeal and replace Obamacare, opposing wasteful spending and sky-high budget deficits, and working to end the unfair and un-American Death Tax. Just as importantly, he has been a consistent voice to protect and preserve Social Security and Medicare. On all the issues that matter most, Senator Pat Roberts stands with America’s seniors.
"On behalf of the more than 7.2 million seniors who support 60 Plus and our efforts to defend the Constitution and the principles of liberty and free-enterprise -- including more than 147,000 in the Sunflower state -- I'm proud to offer this endorsement to Senator Pat Roberts."
Senator Roberts thanked the 60 Plus Association for its endorsement saying, “From fighting the rationing of healthcare to the repeal of the death tax, I have always made the welfare of our seniors a top priority. I am therefore immensely proud to have earned the endorsement from the 60 Plus Association. I thank them for their support, and look forward to working along side the 60 Plus Association and its thousands of supporters to ensure victory in 2014.”
The 60 Plus Association is a 20-year-old nonpartisan organization working for death tax repeal, saving Social Security and Medicare, affordable prescription drugs, lowering energy costs and other issues featuring a limited government, less taxes approach as well as a strict adherence to the Constitution.
The 60 Plus Association’s endorsement adds to the overwhelming and unprecedented amount support garnered by Senator Roberts ahead of the 2014 elections.
