Topeka, Kan. – U.S. Representative and former Vice Presidential nominee Paul Ryan endorsed Pat Roberts on Friday, and today 500,000 Kansans will receive a call from Paul Ryan urging them to support Senator Roberts on election day. To listen to the message, click here.

On Friday, Congressman Ryan called Senator Roberts a "doer" and a "workhorse." Ryan also criticized Roberts' opponent, Greg Orman, calling him a "be-er, someone who wants to be somebody."

"Anybody who's running for office, running around Kansas, saying everything to everybody that they want to hear is somebody who stands for nothing, other than self-promotion," Ryan said of Orman.

"Pat Roberts is a doer...I have seen this guy as a workhorse in the United States Senate getting so many things done. The last time he was Chairman of the Agricultural Committee, he wrote arguably the best Farm Bill that we've ever had.

"He is not going to be a rubber stamp for Harry Reid and Barack Obama like Greg Orman is. He's going to be a blockade and a force for good things, getting things done."

The text of the call from Paul Ryan to 500,000 Kansas voters reads:

Hello, this is Congressman Paul Ryan and I’m calling to ask you to stand with me in supporting Pat Roberts for U.S. Senate.

I’ve known Pat for many years and I am proud to call him a friend. A vote for Pat Roberts is a vote for a Republican majority in the Senate – and a better future for our country.

With Pat’s help, we will reverse the failed Obama-Reid agenda and put our country back on the right track.

Pat Roberts will stand up to Obama and fight to repeal Obamacare, lower taxes, and say no to amnesty.

On November 4th, please vote for Pat Roberts and say no to the liberal Obama-Reid agenda.
