Senator running again to help party 'save' U.S.
Retreating is not an option, according to U.S. Sen. Pat Roberts, who took the opportunity during his noon speech at the Kansas Republican Party Convention on Saturday to announce his candidacy for a fourth term in the Senate.
Roberts shared his vision, and asked the audience for support.
"I look forward to a 'Clean Sweep' in 2014. With Sam (Brownback) at the top of the ballot and me riding shotgun - all of us working together," Roberts said.
Recalling the two terms of Dwight Eisenhower's presidency, Roberts said "There were eight years of peace and prosperity."
